Why This?
The reason I decided to take Anatomy & Physiology was because I want to learn more about myself. Like why is it I don't have to constantly remind myself to do stuff and I just do it. Also because this summer I was lucky and am going to be going into the OR at St. Johns Medical Center and I am SO EXCITED for it.
What I am mostly excited is about dissecting animals, at first I was kind of grossed out because we did a rat and it reminded me of when I dissected a frog in middle school. But once I got over the fact that it was okay, I got really into dissecting it, like instead of being disgusted by it it made me curious. And now I cant wait till we dissect the cat/bunny. Some of the things I’m not excited about is the practicals I feel like they will be the most challenging for me and being able to go back to some of the questions but I know that I will find a way and get through it.
One of the things I've enjoyed these past few weeks is that we get to do a lot of hands on and it's not just lectures after lectures. For example right now that we are learning about the human bones we have bones in front of us and we have a full skeleton being able to compare all of the bones and see how they are different. The only thing I haven't enjoyed was my first few minutes with my rat because Brock and me were trying to skin it and we flipped it so the stomach would be facing down and some its stomach started to hand out, besides that I have enjoyed everything
